According to Ayurveda there are eight serious diseases (8 great diseases) Vat vyadhi (Neurological Disorder), Prameha (Diabetes), Kushta (Leprosy), Bhagandar (Piles), Asmari (Stone), Moodhagarbha(Unnatural conception and Udar Roga (gastro-intestinal Disease). If one suffers from any of these eight great diseases he/she should get fully treated. If proper treatment of these diseases has not been received then the patient has chances of contracting cancer.

How can one know that he/she has Cancer or may be heading towards it.

A wound that does not heal up.

Formation of a wart beneath the breast or any other part of the body.

Bleeding in an unnatural way or flow of pus.

Change in the shape of a beauty or dark spot or hard pimple.

Constant irritation in the throat, coughing and hoarse voice.

Difficulty in swallowing and continuous constipation.

A conspicuous change in the working of intestine.

Unnatural bleeding in the cases of women after menopause.

Irregularity in the menstruation cycle of women. Restarting of menses after stoppage, excessive discharge.

Appearance of blood in stools or urine.

Wound on the neck for a considerably long period.

Uncontrollable coughing, bleeding through sputum and difficulty in breathing.

Having ward in the breast, bleeding nipples or sinking of nipples.

Loss of body weight and feeling of fatigue on a regular basis.

If a wound is taking a relatively long time to heal up.
